The Gyoza Association and Purpura fun

We were all dreading the morning and most of us had stayed up late or got up early to practice, as today was demonstration lesson day. A lesson that would span 20 minutes and no stopping, especially if we fell short of time - we need to have back up games to pad the lesson in case we mistimed it! The final day of training was upon us and we were all feeling it.

Everything went smoothly for all of us and we breathed a collective sigh of relief. It was soon time for lunch after everyone had finished their demo's.

We went for food but we left the hotel later than usual. We arrived with what we hoped would be plenty of time to eat but unluckily for us, we had to wait to be seated and then our food took some time to arrive. It was later than we had thought and we were all rushing to eat; all except Tanner whose order of whale steak never made an appearance before we had to leave.

He was understandably quite hungry by the evening when we made it to the Gyoza Association which I'd insisted on visiting after discovering this on their door and light outside the restaurant:

What an amazing mascot! We tucked into an impressive array of garlic, curry and cabbage gyoza respectively. The establishment was run by two people, one of whom was this adorable old lady who shuffled along with everyone's food and drink and was really cute.

Later, we wandered the streets in search of entertainment. We found an arcade and passed some hilarious time playing Taiko which is a drumming game, MarioKart, watching all the amazing pro Japanese players and making Purpura. Here are a selection of photo's:

We all had to be up bright and early for the chest cavity x-rays which would mark the final day of training and we would all then be getting trains to our different destinations. So, we all went back to the hotel. Knowing we'd all be really tired tomorrow but still wanting to hang out for a while, three of us sat up late into the early hours playing Harry Potter Uno, card games and chatting away until finally, eyelids drooping, I made for my bed.
