Midweek Meal

Due to a difficult day, Amy and I decided to go out for a meal to decompress. We went to a yakitori place, which means grilled chicken, and almost everything on the menu involves chicken! It's usually served on sticks or skewers and at this particular place, we were sat at the bar so could watch as it was cooked in front of us. We had some really delicious chicken, skin and grilled rice cakes but we also had quails eggs which, you guessed it, came on sticks!

 {We first arrived here - but it turned out this was a completely different restaurant!}

 {The restaurant in question - this one - was directly opposite across the road}

{The cabbage was free, the edamame was ordered in an attempt to balance out all the delicious meat we indulged in! Also pictures, one lonely quails egg after I'd eaten the other two!}

After the meal, I was craving desserts. To remedy this, we decamped to the local shopping centre to find a bakery that was still open. We found a cute cafe with a gimmick - stick cakes. All the cakes/desserts were in small sticks like bars of cake! I ate a small chocolate stick cake because there is always room for cake. After that, since the night was young, we meandered through the mall.

I wasted no time in finding a really cute Rilakkuma onesie which I of course bought immediately! It is so comfy. It's sadly a little short in the leg but it's so cosy that I refuse to take it back!
{Not pictured - adorable tail}

After that, we found the arcade. We wandered around looking at the grabber machines, fully aware that they were all swindles but being unable to stop ourselves from trying one anyway! We also came across two girls who were trying a different type of machine and stopped to watch them for a minute in hopes they'd succeed but the machine refused to yield it's cute prizes.

Prizeless, we meandered around the arcade, checking out the various games until we came across a section of pods. They seemed interesting but we had no idea how to get inside them. When we finally worked out how to get them open, we found an immersive gaming station which appears to be for a Gundam game and is probably the first time I've encountered anything like it! I bring you this exclusive tour (😏😏)!

As it was a school night, we headed home but made plans for more shenanigans at the weekend.

  1. First of all that onesie is awesome, money well spent. Secondly, the last two links on the video are linked to the same video, we are missing out on your exclusive gaming tour :)
